I'm quite surprised at the lack of responses to the OP, and even more surprised at the relatively low number of page views.

The only reason I can think of is the fact that this is such a rare problem. I bought the new holland for its outstanding record of reliability and performance. At least if anyone else is having this problem they can search it out here. Im thankful I found this forum to join.

I know at least one other poster on this forum had a t1520 with a noise in the engine that no one could find. I hope he finds this post. I wish I could remember who it was i would send him a pm.

Looks like the pan and the timing cover had to come off. What is the function of the port block? Was it installed backward or was it just rotated 180 from verticle in the wrong direction? Probably the latter since the shaft looks a little off center. I'll bet they had some one new doing that part of the assembly and he screwed up a bunch of motors.

I would think that if the oil port block was off by 180 deg you wouldn't get oil to all of the proper passages. I also sent jaymar a pm yesterday.

The oil port block is off by 180 degrees. Same as the one found in our shop. The engine was oiling normally.
