    tot he op.. does the pto have any in / out play?


    if luckuy.. may be an old repair.. ie.. snap ring popped ( common ).. and they repaired it and never did find the rest of it.

    ok so i havent worked on the tractor again yet. I will pull the pto shaft and see what i can find out probably this coming weekend. The PTO seems solid from what i remember, no play and it doesnt pop put of gear. So it could be just a piece and the rest is still in there or old repair. Thanks for the replies so far

    yep.. i see lots of leftover parts from old repairs. may have been somewhere the PO couldn't find... IF they even tried looking for it..

    well pulled the pto and it was the bearing retainer. 90% of the ring is still there but ill have to order another one up and replace it.
