Not a typo. Nine years on my tractor battery.
Just changed the battery out this week on my Ford 2600.
4DLT, yep, the BIG sucker.
Date of manufacture: Jan 2004
Date placed in service: May 2004

Do you think that Harbor Freight would pay me to do a commercial for their battery tender? :D
I think that was the secret. Whenever the tractor wasn't in regular use, I had one on it.

I tested my cousins battery at five years and it tested ok. Two weeks later it died. From now on they go at five years. It not worth leaving a 73 year old woman stranded.

I got 10 years out of my last pickup truck battery.
And 11 years out of my original tractor battery.
Neither battery ever saw a tender
