I posted this once before with no response. I need to replace the steering sector seals and would like to know if they can be replaced without removing the steering box. Reading the repair manual it's not real clear.

The tractor has power steering but the leak is in main gear box not the power valve. It's just like the manual gear box and uses 90w oil in it.

I'm quite familiar with the layout of the box, I asked because a straight manual box I easier to remove than a power box, and that was part of the question asked, you can handle it from here.

Yes you can replace those seals without removing the shafts.
Just dig the old ones out with a screwdriver, etc then find a piece of pipe or conduit, etc the right size and tap the new ones in.
EZ.
