I am replacing the water pump on my newly acquired Ford 1910 tractor. I am considering removal (not replacement) of the thermostat while working on this job. I live in way south Arkansas and plan on using this tractor in the warm/hot months only. I'm retired and if the outside temperature is less than 50 degrees, it will stay parked! I see the thermostat bypass hose, so I have some protection from a stuck thermostat, but could I just leave the thermostat out completely (or remove the internals)?
