The operator’s manual states, “the inner air filter should only be serviced by the dealer”. So what gives?? For the outer filter I just remove the wing nut and pull it out. The inner filter is held in by one nut. It looks like I can remove the nut and pull it out just like the outer filter. Or is there something special that must be done to remove the inner filter.

I'll check my manual and my tractor tomorrow Frank. I am not sure what has to be done on it but I will check to see and get back with you in the next couple of days.

My 7610s has an inner and outter.. you change the inner as soon as it shows signs of being dirty. Since I love my 7610s.. I change the inner and outter at the same time..
