OK. I'm green. Completely green. No problem admitting that. Workin' on changing that. Already recognize there's really good information here.

I'm a classic "escape from surburbia" 40-something. Didn't grow up "country" at ALL, but believe me I'm getting it now. Turns out it was there for me all along, but I couldn't see it. Couldn't give it any credit. It resonates true now. Grandparents' input (dead now) wasted. **** it! Parent's input: mostly wasted. ****. Now waking up and looking at moving to 24ac 40+ year-old house 40 miles from my job and establishing a homestead. Wife very on board with transition.

Hoping to find help here. I'm in central Texas, west of Austin, BTW.
