Hi,
I'm a new owner of a '91 L2850 with a 4560 Hoe, which is a self contained unit. My question is; the pto shaft slides into the gear housing which hangs of a bracket rod extending from the back of the tractor. The gear housing just hangs of the bracket rod with a hook fashioned from 2.5" flat stock with no visible locking mechanism in place, it just rides on top but works it's way off over time? Temporary solution has been zip-lock ties, and it works, as there is no pressure on this hook-up, the bracket simply keeps the weight of the gear housing off the pto shaft.
Anybody with some experience and solution, mostly, is something missing? I can always weld button to end of bracket rod, first time I disconnect.
Tractor has 462 hours, hoe less than fifty, other than some dry rot in hydraulic on FEL it is in good shape.
Using around house for some french drain work and trenching (Western PA). then off to WVa, for farm maintenance, creek banks, bridge foundations, post holes, etc.
