Hey all you fellow farmers and tractor fans I am proud to be a new member of this site. I hope this site can help me get old photos of john deere tractors over the years. maybe someday I would like to but old manuals and broucher pictures together in one book in the order of time that they came out so that younger people can learn about the history of john deere and that farming wasnt always luxurious and high techt. Farming back in the day was with two cylinder tractors and two to three bottom plows.

Welcome to the TBN forums. I grew up with my neighbor's "Johnny Popper", we had a hand crank Allis Chalmers with steel lugged wheels to work "new ground". Dad switched over from mules to tractors in the 50's, but one neighbor stayed with them much longer. I well remember seeing the first cotton picker; we followed behind and hand picked what it missed.
