G'day all.

Just found this interesting forum.

I have a chilli farm with about 2000 plants outside Darwin in the Northern Territory of Australia.

We have a new GC2600 and it is a little pearler.

Thanks for having us aboard.

Gday again

The chilli market is pretty good for me.

We grow Trinidad Scorpion Butch T, Moruga, Bhut Jolokia, red and yellow 7 pot, Dooglah and a couple of varieties of habernero.

We move about 750kg a week or more.

We get $25 a kilo and sell 99% of our chilli to one bloke who makes sauces.

The rest goes into our own sauces and pastes we make for family and friends.

We are right in the tropics and our wet season has just started.

The chilli grows 12 months of the year, because we dont really get any seasons, just the "wet season" and the "dry season".

In the dry we use bore water, but the bore water here is like spring water, that is, very high quality and not hard.

Hope that answers your question :)

G'day again,

Well ya got me.....

What is the Darwin award?

Why do I feel like I wish I hadn't asked that?

G'day Chillibloke and welcome to the site from the other end (as opposed to the Top). The 'Darwin Award' is postumously awarded to a human who has removed themselves from the evolutionary cycle via performing an act so stupid that a Blind Freddy should've seen it coming. Most acts are predicated by the statement, "Hold my beer and watch THIS!"

Good to have ya, Cobber.
