Here are some more. It appears to be the doubleclick ads causing the warning. Adding openx.org to the safe sites cleared the home page warning. I usually keep the Site Advisor toolbar off so I didn't see the warnings until I turned it on.

Here's one with the red warning and a doubleclick ad. Hope this helps.

Adding openx.org to the safe sites cleared the home page warning.

OpenX is known for being exploited by hackers to distribute viruses and malware. In fact, many ad servers (especially doubleclick) are also common targets of hackers, and it's for this very reason that OpenX, Doubleclick, and many of the more common ad servers are permanently blocked at my router.

I knew about it. I added it to show that was the problem with the home page and the Wallenstein ad. I removed it after the screenshots.

All of those are definitely harmless. They are ads and are being delivered by trusted providers. You can set to "always allow" for those types of errors that display ads.

i've seen plenty of issues from doubleclick in the past. they were one of the warnings i got as well. maybe not here.. but I have had malware issues before that i can attribute to doubleclick... they seem to be a common target..

Please click "more details" and screencapture or copy/paste all the details. Especially if it gives specific files or errors (hidden iframes, etc.) Of these errors. The basic popups that display are not enough for us to review.

I found this page on a Google Search.

When I clicked the registration page to make it go away (I was not registered at the time), My Trend Micro started going crazy detecting the TROJAN_SIREFEF.SLS virus.

I'm also getting the McAfee red warnings. I have also picked a malware virus that hijacks my Google searchand redirects me to other sights. I don't know thatI got it on this forum, but I have suspensions that I may have.

I scanned my computer with McAfee yesterday and it found the malware viruses and removed them. But now, the same Google highjacking seems to be back. It does not happen if I use another search program like Bing.

Thanks,
Howard

I have also gotten the Google redirect virus about 2 weeks ago. I am not sure where I got it from but I do visit this forum quite often. It's a Trojan type of virus which opens your computer to further trouble. It's extremely difficult to remove since most antivirus programs like McAfee (which I use) or Norton or a few other that I tried wont touch it. I finally got bleepingcomputer.com to assist me but it took several hours running many programs trying to remove it.

Same redirects using Chrome here and the same virus problems with TBN found by McAffee. I ran the complete deep virus scan with McAffee and it got rid of the virus. The redirects were still hitting from right clicking to a new tab on the TBN daily posts. I then ran "Spybots Search and Destroy" and it found 3 incidents of "doubleclick" on the Chrome browser which I use for TBN. I told Spybots to Quarentine "doubleclick" so we will see if this helps.
