As you may know, over the past year or so we have had a growing number of issues with our existing mobile app, which several thousand members actively use. The primary concerns have been with viewing images, the inability to upload images from the app, and various formatting bugs. Despite our efforts to get these issues resolved, the app developer has not updated the app in more than two years, which leaves us out in the cold (no pun intended considering the weather of late).
So, we have decided to take the following actions:
1. Discontinue support of the old app. In time, the app will be removed from the app store and google play. The app is currently not connecting to our server so at this point you can assume that it might not regain functionality (we've reached out to the developer but I'm not optimistic).
2. Enable our forums to be viewed in the tapatalk mobile forum browser app (already complete). If you have tapatalk installed, you can search for tractorbynet and follow our forum from there as you do with other forums. Tapatalk seems to be well established as the standard for forum apps and since development continues, we are comfortable with this platform.
3. Within a couple of weeks, we will have a new downloadable tractorbynet app available in the app store and google play. The app will be developed and maintained by tapatalk so you will be able to access tractorbynet through the tapatalk app or the TBN app.
4. Our mobile style will still be offered if you don't want to use a downloadable app to access the forums on your mobile device. We're still working on tweaking our new forum theme, which is responsive to mobile screens and offers better usability for mobile devices right out of the box.
So in sum we've got a multi-faceted approach to updating our current mobile accessibility. Hopefully you will like the new app when it comes out. We appreciate your patience with this matter.
