Default Price on a Ford 1920/FEL/BH?

I'm going to look at an '85 Ford 1920 with FEL and a backhoe. The rig has about 1500 hours on it and the dealer is asking $11,500. The tractor is 4WD and has a shuttle shift.

Your thoughts on this tractor and what might be a realistic offer?

See attached pic.

Thx,
clattin

Sold my 1988 Ford 1920 last year to a used tractor dealer for $10,000. 1100 hrs, FEL, 1 rear remote valve, 4wd, 12x4 (non-synchro) transmission. Great shape and keep inside most of the time. He bought it sight unseen over the phone. Another used dealer offered $8700 to resell at his auction. Those are great tractors.

I'd buy it at that price. I've had a 1710 and a 2120. My 2120 used to have a backhoe until I traded that. I've been offered about 18,000 for my 87 2120. They are very solid tractors, 1500 hours is not much.

I got $4000 for my 1987 758 backhoe when I sold it so the backhoe definately adds value. I would offer $10,000 for the package and dicker from there. As I said before the 11,500 is not out of line.

I recently traded a 1920 4wd 12x4 tranny 900 hrs in on my 7610s and got 8500 out of it. I'd say your unit is great.. considering that backhoe is a pricey unit, and the fel is practically free. 1500 hours is easy as long as it wasn't a rental machine.
