Boomer/TC33D

Hi, I'm a first time poster and want to say thanks to all here for helping me make up my mind about a compact tractor...I've spent the last two months looking at compact tractors...Finally settled on the NH/TC33D/industrial tires...I tested the Kubota's, Massey's and Case's...I made my final decision based on service available and structure of tractor..Price was not an issue(they were all about the same) in choosing which of the four to buy...They all have something to offer, but the TC33D looked to be the best deal(I got the Allied Front End Loader, Bush Hog Finish Mower, Post hole digger, and an 84" tiller)...I live in Southern Iowa and we have a wine grape vineyard, table grape vineyard, commercial blackberry operation and a "Pick-Your-Own" produce farm....The TC33 seemed to fit our needs the best...Plus...I love the steering process of the NH...Very adaptable to any size field....Thanks again for all the posts about the compact tractors....

Thanks for the reply and feedback Bird..Hopefully the NH will do the job....Like I said before, my decision was based strictly on service available....The Kubota, Massey and Case dealers are all about 60 miles north of me(in Des Moines) and said there would be a charge for transportation for warranty work amounting to $150.00 each way...The NH dealer is 6 miles north of me and gave me a letter saying he would provide free transportation for warranty work, a loaner on any problem taking more than 24 hours to solve, and a loaner on implements if there was a problem.....Many years ago I learned to buy a product based on service, not price...*smiling* Thanks again for replying...

Lopey, all the major tractor manufacturers are building good equipment. And under the circumstances you described, I'd be driving a New Holland, too, instead of a Kubota. The only time I bad mouth New Holland is when I'm talking to my cousin about his TC29D.[img]/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif[/img]

It sounds like you're off to a great start on a good relationship with your dealer... some of those perks like loaners and a strong dealer personal relationship are more valuable then any amount of money...

Yepper John, I agree...Van Loon Implement has been here for years but I've never really paid much attention to them...Now I am...The tractor dealers in Des Moines are sorta one way...Ivan Van Loon offered me a true business proposition...*smiling*..I love to buy local when I can.....

Sounds like a great deal Lopey. I hope you have many happy years of operation and never have to take your dealer up on his offer. I am curious about why you went with other than New Holland loader and other implements? Will you be pulling a plow other than your new tiller? You have a pretty wide variety of tasks to do, so I'll be interested how you feel after you get your first 50 hours. In the meantime, what's the chance for a couple of pictures? I am sure that you will be pleased with the NH TC33D. I researched tractors for 18 months and read this board all that time and I decided on the NH because of the dealer and I liked the way that the NH is equipped. But the dealer is the real decision maker. I know from experience that a delaer who cares and is working to make his (or her) customers happy is a dealer to be valued. My dealer (La Rue New Holland in Paris, Texas) is interested in making sure that I, and his other customers, are happy with his service.

Good luck with your new machine,Lopey.I went through the same process before I bought my TC-18. Dealer is only ten miles up the road and their service is great,they've been there since 1947, good people ! Ya, I've learned a lot from this forum too, but I hate to type....too darn slowwww !
