Great info! I've spent quite awhile going through it....there is a lot...

Found the thread with NH Gotchas.....would like to get it updated.
Also would like a thread for service bulletins.
I'll start something in Owning/Operating......

Salesman says running the tractor cold won't hurt it......I'm in agreement with others that say it can't be good for it to run cold. I'll try the cardboard thing, and then if it doesn't help, pinch the hose. He doesn't know much about the hydraulic issue, said it might be because it's cold outside.

It's been well below zero here, and will be until friday. I'll try it then.

I'm still waiting for the softcab and the other items (QA Bucket, etc. ) to be delivered.

One other thing that provided illumination for me was looking up "swashplate hydraulic" on google, and going to the wiki link.

On the bottom of that page, there is a link to a swashplate engine, as well as a link to a description.

I think that these are the mechanisms that the tractor using to drive the wheels, and understanding "swashplate angle" helped me a bunch in understanding the threads. It is an amazing concept.

There are two of these devices in a TC HST, the swashplate pump, and the swashplate motor. The foot controls one swashplate. The rabbit, turte button controls the other. There is another pump that supplys the drive circuit with oil under pressure.
