rear hydraulic remote on TZ25?

That seems about normal as far as price goes. The third remote on my TN was around $500 I think but that was a few years ago. Depending on how much changing of direction you do you really don't need the hydraulic chute. I have one on mine and when I use to use a snow blower it was ok as I was clearing the driveways around the house and dairy barn as well as the fields so the spreader tractor could get in to dump the manure in a pile. For the most part though, once your in one area you keep the chute the same direction. If you had a cab tractor then the hydraulic is the way to go.
Otherwise, if you are talking to Romances about buying a blower see if they are willing to deal on the remote for your tractor as part of a package deal on the blower.

What rear-blower are you looking at? I'm about 200 miles east of you and have pretty much the same winter you do. Thanks!
I'm about 25 miles south of Buffalo. Lake effect. I am looking at the woods ss52 and the Buhler farm king Y500. Woods is pricy, but I have other woods impliments and I believe they are bomb proof. Have no experrience with Buhler but a lot of people on here say they're decent. With the woods you can get the "electric" chute, so you wouldn't have top deal with the hyd remote......Trying to figure$$$......Let you know.....

Ocean effect snow for me; certainly don't get the 100" in 7 days that your area had last year. Although we typically get a few 20"+ each year. Probably average 120"; certainly enough to be a PIA.

I spent an extra $500 on my TC-24D for rear remotes 4 years ago, only purpose was for the hydraulic chute on the blower. By far the best $500 I spent on the tractor. Remember, you're going to be facing backwards. I have tight spots and change direction constantly - would not be without it. Imagine trying to crank on that with ice build-up and blowing snow during a storm. I have the Woods SS-52 on mine, really like the hydraulic motor/sproket sytem on the chute rather than the hydraulic ram/cable system found on a lot of the other ones. I have some pics if you're interested.

500$ sounds cheap. last time I priced the deluxe remotes from CNH ( needed parts for my unit.. ).. they were more than that...
