I'll start off saying I got this idea from WoodDawg.
I purchased this 7" screen and camera from Ebay for $110.00.
I installed the camera under the rear overhang of my 45da. After removing the top panel and looking for clearance, I found a good place to mount it. I ran the wire overtop the rear window and into the overhead panel inside the cab.
From there I removed the radio/cd player and pulled the wire out. I used the existing wires there to power everything. I wanted to be sure that this package could not be turned on without the ignition in the on position. So I found the right wires and made my connections.
I ran the wire to the monitor on down to the front right side of the overhead panel and came down to the rearview mirror mount. Since I have two outside mirror's, I decided to take the interior mirror off and use that mount for the monitor.
All said and done. I have only about 6 inches of total wire showing. The wiring got a little tricky. Trying to get them through the overhead panel. Even after loosening the top, It still didn't want to give much.
Just thought I'd share this incase anyone would like to do the same. And I want to thank WoodDawg for the idea! haha
