Default Tire Prices

What is the price range for the typical 11.2x24 rear drive tire, bias ply, R-1 type? Filled now with anti-freeze (non-calcium). When I take it to be changed should I drain myself first, will they reuse the old liquid if they do it. Is it even advisable to reuse the old stuff?

I can't find many places quoting prices for the tires on the internet. Wanted to get a ball park figure before I haggled with someone local.

For the rear of a NH1715 with BH and FEL. The present tire is not worn that bad...just seems to have been abused, with several plugged holes that tend to leak after a winter sitting.
Thanks,
JohnnyB

I bought 2 about 2 years ago for my 2120. 14.9x26 8 ply R1 for $280 each. A tire dealer installed them for $25 each including transferring fluid. all I paid was about another $20 to make up for lost fluid. Let the pros play with the fluid. They have pumps and tanks to handle it. I think it was about $10 extra per tire because of the fluid.

BTW I bought and picked up the tires at Galaxy Tire in Melrose Mass (near Boston). They wholesale tires but if you tell them you are working with a dealer and pay upon pickup will sell to you. Best prices I could find and easy to do business with. Tires are excellent quality.

Give these guys a try:

Overstock and Blem Tractor Rears from NebraskaTire

I ordered a pallet of blems from them a couple of years ago and the only "Blem" on them was where they buffed off the brand (Titan - used to be Armstrong) name.

I too bought from Nebraska Tire, good folks and decent prices. Shipping is always a issue but in my case I bought tires for the pickup at the same time and got a shipping deal on a pallet load. bjr

I would be carefull with Nebraska Tire... Lots of people had problems with ATV tires they bought off of them as blems. The tires were certainly rejects that they buffed off the name and resold.
