Default replacing 3 pth main arms

I bought the main arms and the smaller 3pth arms from somebody on ebay. When they arrived, the box had broken and the larger arms were not there. From the pictures, they appear to steel bars with some kind of hole on the end. The seller was reimbursed by Fedex and she returned my money but I still need the main arms. There is a bh on the tractor I bought and the 3pth has been long gone. I was trying to get it back in to usable condition if I ever took the bh off the tractor. Outside of buying new ones or waiting for another sale, would it be possible to make some. They look pretty basic except for the holes in the end. I haven't tried used tractor parts places yet but would guess that's another possibility. Thanks for any feedback.

Forgot. It's a Ford 1210 that needs the arms.

You could try making your own and welding on the ends. TSC and other places have the ball ends.

Import replacement Ford 8N arms are cheap and easy to find (don't know the dimensions offhand). Presumably your tractor is a cat 1 tractor. My old Case had these. Worked fine.

Yes, TSC has old N-style arms in stock in most places. I even have a spare in my barn because when I needed one, I bought two because I thought I'd eventually need them.

These might not be the right size and could cause some geometry problems. I'd check with a New Holland dealer to get an idea of cost of new before trying TSC. That way you can get the correct ones. Also, do you have the lift arm connecting forks from the rockshaft to the lower arms? Those will probably end up being more expensive than the lift arms, especially if one is the adjustable length type.

...and don't forget stabilizers and stay chains...and more.

Here is a picture of my old Ford Jubilee with the standard 3PH parts. You won't have to have the drawbar or stays, but the basic 3PH parts are there. Notice that the right lift arm has a barcode on it near the tractor. That's the new lift arm from TSC.

Thanks for the info. I did get the lifting forks from the same seller. Thise were in the same box but arrived intact. I'll ask the local dealer if 8n can be used and then check TSC. The local dealer doesn't seem too interested in helping beginners. Not sure I blame him too much but have tried to be as little trouble as I can. His prices have a healthy premium that seems a little more than necessary even for high maintenance customers.

I did a search of the New Holland forums and found several threads related to the 1210. One of them had a post from NewportNic who only had one post on TBN, but he posted a picture.

Here's my idea. Your post may be missed by other 1210 owners because you don't have "1210" in the title. I'm sure somebody out there with that or a similar tractor might have a photo or be willing to take some measurements for you. I'd do that TBN search like I did and then send PMs to a few of the 1210 owners you contact. That may get you a lot quicker and better response than taking the advice of somebody like me who doesn't really know your tractor well.

Also, I just checked on New Holland's website, and the listed part number for your link arms is SBA370100160. It sells for $247 each. As you say, pretty darn expensive.

I'm almost certain the TSC generic ford arms are WAY too big for a 1210. I've mowed with a 1220 and it had much smaller arms. Now.. that said.. with a torch and a welder and a can of spray paint... you can make theose longs arms fit perfect I'd guess.
