Default EHSS Inching Pedal Adjust

Have a 2007 TC55 with EHSS Shuttle Shift Trans. Shift is OK using shuttle shift forward to reverse but using "clutch" pedal it's like an on - off switch. halfway out and it grabs. use to be OK. felt like a clutch pedal. Adjusted as/per owner's manual. Still grabs. Any experiences like mine ? Thanks

Well, let me try to use the proper terms here to the best of my recollection. I had trouble with mine once but not like this. My problem was a stick got into my Potentiometer and knocked it outta whack.....my tractor just flat quit like a clutch totally went out....I couldn't even get it to move......took it to the dealer and all they did was adjust the Potentiometer to the correct voltage. The Potentiometer is the little electrical thingy bopper right under your drivers side that the inching pedal is hooked to. It's easy to adjust, if I remember correctly you losen a screw and just turn it but it's having the correct electrical equipment that might be a trick.

Not sure if this is your problem or not, sorry I can't remember more exact on all of this but it sounds to me like you may be having something that's affecting the current coming from it......might check and see if everything under there is free and not restricted or might have been bent or something.

Please keep us informed on your solution to this problem.......I may be having the same any day.

Picked tractor up from dealer today. Mechanic adjusted inching cable but measured cable movement at hydraulic valve after removing dash cover on port side of tractor. The owner's manual lists this adjustment last in a series of instructions. Inching pedal feels like it did when tractor was new. Hope it lasts. Read all the posts about EHSS problems on TC55DA. Had a 2120 before. Same tractor and transmission as far as I can tell but the 2120 went 1500 hours before any of these types of problems showed up.

Gilroylee,

I just replaced my inching pedal cable and my service manual says to adjust it just like you said your dealer did. You have to remove that left cover to see the movement at the EHSS control valve. The book says to adjust it to 2mm of play. Boy, my eyes are old and 2mm isn't much movement!!! I'm not sure how you could get anything in there to accurately measure it anyway. Anyone have a suggestion??? I just adjusted mine visually and guessed that 2mm was just enough for me to see it move a bit.
