Default NH 7309 loader hydraulic dust caps/plugs

I am wondering what size to get for the dust caps/plugs for the quick disconnects on the front loader. I went to the NH dealer and bought some universal ones. the 1/4" caps fit tight but the 1/4" plugs will not stay in, they just pull right out. I went back and got the next size up 3/8" plugs and they are way too big. Are these metric? They had NH ones that cost $9 instead of $4 for the universal but the guy said they looked like the 1/4" ones so now if I go back a 3rd time I still don't know what to get.

Third time is a charm. I am sure the CNH plugs will work. Never had much luck with "universal" anything.

But they work. Do you want ones that work.. or ones that don't work.

how much those hyd ends cost? how often you want to replace them?

I'd say if you like changing the QD ends, orings.. and perhaps other hyd components on your tractor, then by all means buy the cheaper ill-fitting plugs!

You have to buy the correct plugs for the q.d. There are ISO-A, ISO-B, Ag style, many different style of flushface, etc. It's kind of like buying a universal one size fits all car cover. They end up fitting nothing.
