Default TC34DA grill guard/front weighs problem

I have a new TC34DA with the optional grill guard, 14LA FEL & 758C BH. According to the owners manual you can install 2 Cast iron front weights that are compatable with the grill guard. There are 2 sizes of weights, 57lb. and 100lb. There is no mention in the owners manual that restricts the 100 pounders. I bought the big weights. Had to take the grill guard off to put them on. Went to put the grill guard back on and no way will it go on. They will even interfere with the FEL. I am aware there is an optional weight bracket that you can install that will hold up to 5 100lb weights but if you do that you cant even have a FEL on the tractor. Called up the dealer and they dont have a clue. I even asked them if the 57lb weights would work with the grill guard and they had no idea. I asked them if I could bring back the 100 pounders and trade them for the 57 pounders and they just said " I don't know". I called the NH home office and the person I talked to was allegedly in tech support. I explained the problem and they just said "I dont know" Is there anybody out there on the face of this earth that can shed some light on my delima. Can anybody tell me if I can even install 2- 57lb weights and still use the grill guard? On page 2-36 in the owners manual (TC34DA & TC31DA)it plainly states that the grill guard will work with 2 front mounted weights. Please, somebody help!

Dave1953,

You can't add weights with the loader on or your deluxe grill guard.
The weight kit you bought is use for when you don't have a FEL on.

weights are use to counter balance implements.

return the weight kit get your money back.

if you don't have rear implements you may want to fill your rear tires or some type of rear weight kit to counter your FEL 14lA.

my backhoe is always on so it counters the FEL

edit: just noticed you have a backhoe -nice one too so your ready to go.
just get your money back..

Welcome to TBN
Congrats when you get a chance post some pictures.

Thanks for the input but I believe you misunderstood my problem. I did not buy the optional front weight bracket and weights, I just bought 2 weights and mounted them on the front of the frame. If you look at your tractor there are 3 holes on the very front of the frame. Those holes are there to bolt on 2 weights. Look on page 2-36 of your owners manual and it states the grill guard is compatable with a FEL and front weights, but not with the optional front weight bracket which will hold up to 5 100lb. weights. If you have that setup you cant have anything on the front.

The problem has been solved. If you happen to have a TC34DA or similar tractor and have the optional grill guard and want to put front weights on it you MUST use the smaller 57 lb. weight. The 100 pounders WONT work. The smaller weights also do not interfere with thd 14LA FEL. You can only put 2 weights on the frame. Take this to the bank.
