I know this has been ongoing here for the past 1 1/2 years but let me raise the monster again. For the third time in last 18 months I have a leak on my cooler hoses. Talked with my service guy here on Tuesday (3/28) because of this and expressed my extreme displeasure. He whole heartedly agreed with my position. He just went to a seminar on Monday and it appears there is a new repair (Hopefully better hoses at not such a steep bend). he has ordered for me and he should have it early next week. We shall see.......

Has it been cold ( 40 degreees or under) and have you installed a cold temp. hydro filter?

I think the problem he's having is related to the hydraulic oil cooler lines that are made of rubber and have a 90 degree bend in them. These hoses on the TC-Class IIs do not hold up under HST pressures; they bulge out and eventually rupture. The simplest solution I've seen is to wrap the lines with individual zip-ties side-by-side that prevent the hose from expanding under pressure. Others have taken a longer piece of two-wire hose and make a larger radius loop to decrease the stress on the hose.

There's a repair kit for this. It's been available since at least last November. Total Cost is approximately $75

Have you got this? Or does anyone that has one mounted? What are they doing? I am guessing the bend is in the metal tube and the hoses are just straight small sections.

I found it funny that I could trace the line back and about midway on the engine it had a short rubber line on it to connect to another tube and it was dry as a bone.

I have to get this sorted out on mine.

I tried the big loop of hose using 5/8" Goodyear pushlock hose and it is definetely not the high speed setup.

Nope, but it's what I'm going to install the next time the 'elbows' need replaced. I've replaced them twice.

Well, I have one of the rigid lines, one of the rubber hoses and one conduit on the way, as well as a spare hydrostatic filter.

Hope it fits. Parts guy said it was weird that normally they could back reference from the part # and see what tractors it would be applicable on but they could not with these?

Thought I would just buy one, then I did not have the full amount invested if it did not work on mine.

Anybody got a tech bulletin or some such thing that shows these part#s and talks about them?

Thanks.

OK, got it in! WooooHHhooooo looks like it will fit fine on my 1925, now just have to order the other side one.

What they did was remake the steel fixed lines and put the bend at the end into the steel line instead of having the hose make the bend. The rubber lines are just a little straight piece of 5/8" hose.

I am not sure where they intend the convulted tubing to go, but thought I may sort that out when I get mounting it.

Looks to me like it will definetely fix the problem that I have with these cooler hoses.

And I just realized I can order direct from Messik and they are a dealer / supporter here. Here comes my order!

OK, the before, with the attempt with the 5/8" pushlock hose. Just did not work out as desired.

And this would be the after.

I am very satisfied that this is the way to go, would not be a question in my mind to do it over again. Wish I had done this right at first and not tried to "save" money.

As a side note, there is a spring and check ball to keep the cooler from overpressurizing that sits on top of the hydro filter. When you change out that line, it comes out (or you can pull it with a magnet) I never knew it was there, but ended up reading it in the manual when the spring showed up, and I was going /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif anyway, my thought is that I am going to order a new spring, just to insure that it is working as well as it can.

I am VERY happy with this repair, and believe it should eliminate that problems that I experienced in the past, but I guess only time will really tell.

Oh, and I put the convoluted tubing over the lower line, it looks like the battery cables will want to rub there, so it was a logical place to me. I did not see any other potential clearance problems. I will keep an eye on it and make sure that something does not crop up though.
