My tc33da just blew hydro fluid out of the top of the hydro trans filter. for the second time. the first time i thought maybe lose filter. so put new filter on and it happened again. the book gives no info. theres got to be a pressure relief valve in line with this some where could it be stuck! and what to do too unstuck it. any help would be great. i need my tractor back, getting lots of snow. and is there a good repair manual out there with lots of detail. thanks again John

This is a known problem. Tell your dealer about this. The filter was redesigned to handle this.

Is it over full? Get the cold weather filter for it. It is an expensive filter. Make sure you are letting the unit warm up before running the hydraulics.

Well my Dealer seems to have no clue. and the system was not over full. we have had some below 0 weather but it was in the 30s when it happened the first time. and i always let it warm up for at least 30min in cold weather. i would be interested in cold weather filter if that would fix the problem. I also keep block heater plugged in with timer before cold starts. because the nearest new Holland dealer is 275 miles away i got a filter cross referenced threw wiks and that was the second one to go. Stumped John.

Forgot to mention this last fall drained all hyd and refilled with cold weather hydro fluid. that was not cheap to do 135.00 for 6 gal. and my tractor takes 8 and some change.

Your dealer either doesn't care enough to investigate, or is less-than-truthful. There is a "cold weather hydro filter" for all Boomer series.

Listen to MikePA about this. This has been discussed in the past, with input from a ex-NH Tech (RickB). Do a search on "cold weather hydro filter" in the New Holland forums.

Ditto what the others said.. DO get the cold weather filter. the cold weather oil is good to.. but the filter will most likely aleviate your problem.

Ya may want to make a complaint to NH corporate about this dealers lack of technical competence...
