That fix would make you a CRIMINAL. EPA regs require continment of fuel vapors, and it is illegal to modify such systems. You'll spend the rest of your life looking over your shoulder, wondering when thr FBI will take you in.

Nope. They still feed the fumes back into the filler neck, the vent hose is removed from INSIDE the filler neck, routed up beside the fill hose then back into the filler neck right below the cap.

See here-Ford fillneck kits

Their price is high so many Ford Diesel owners have fabbed their own, which is what I'd do.

I use a 2 and 5 gallon zink coated inside red metal safety can for gasoline, a 5 gallon red plastic for diesel, and 1 gallon for 2 cycle mix. Tony D.

DO NOT PUT DIESEL IN ZINK COATED CONTAINERS BECAUSE ZINK CONTAMINATES DIESEL FUEL AND YOU WILL END UP ZINKING YOUR INJECTOR PUMPS.

I store mine in yellow and blue containers. On the blue ones, I've plainly labeled them with "DIESEL" because I do have a blue one that is kerosene.

I would NOT like using red metal containers because I sit them on the hood of the tractor and then use a kerosene siphon to take from the container to the tractor tank. I'm not strong enough to hold a 5 gallon container to pour it directly into the tank. Once they get about 1/2 or more empty, I can.
