CJ4 oil

I was browsing Kubota's web site and went into their maintenance table section, it stated that Kubota's with internal and external EGR can't use CJ4 oil, mines a 2007 model, don't know if it has an EGR. I thought all oils were CJ4 rated now, and they would work in anything.
Anyone heard of this with the Kubota's?

Do you have a link to the page where they state this? According to their own maintenance schedule/spec's page they show to use CJ-4 when using ULSD fuel, CG-4, CH-4, or CI-4 with LSD fuel and CF in all applications. Kubota Tractor USA - Lubricants Schedule

For the life of me I can't imagine why they would say to not use CJ-4. Its designed for today's modern EGR engines which tend to be harder on the oil.

I love my Kubota but I find their information hard to understand, alot of it seems to go back about forty years.

I don't think I've found any oil thats not CJ4 for quite awhile now.
Beings I live in Calif I assume that the only fuel we get is ULSD, living here all my life I bet on 1/1/07 they sucked all the diesel out of the tanks and replaced it with the ULSD.

There are still non CJ-4 oils out there, they are just harder to locate than previous API spec oils. TRC still has CI-4 (non CJ-4) spec and other specialty oils for things like 2 stroke detroits.

Point is CJ4 is supose to be backwards compatible with all previous ratings, did Kubota find a problem and if so it might affect other brands also. Doesn't seem reasonable that it would only affect Kubota.
