~~~~~~~~~~~ One of the neat features of my out fit is you have the option of always running the oldest fuel first since you're not mixing the old with the new fuel .
L . B .
Thanks LB, the 2 year reference is aimed at , when I think I will be putting new fuel in with the old fuel, not when I would empty the tank and refill. So it seems that i can go quite a while with the large fuel storage as long as i treat it and run it through the appropriate filters occasionally, and mix with fresh fuel to keep it good.
You know, that is a good point. That is advantage for your system.
Some thing else that just dawned on me about my statement about how long 60 gallons of fuel lasted me is the entire 60 gallon was not 5 or six months old when I ran out .
Only the 3 to 7 gallon that was left in the drum when i pumped it empty that day in Nov was that old .
You know, that is a good point. That is an advantage of your system.
U know I didn't fully realize the potential benefits that adding a second drum to the set up would create when I did it.
I've read a lot of post on several threads about setting up a fuel storage and transfer rig but I have never seen one with 2 drums plumbed into it.
And I only know of 1 other out fit that features the dual suction hoses .
Something I just realized.
These 3 drums will hold 140 gallon of fuel .
That would run a Gen. for a fairly long time in the event of a power outage.
I also have 2 extra empty 30 gallon drums and 1 extra empty 55 gallon drum.
This is a semi stationary dual 30 gallon and 55 gallon drum unit.
It would be easy to adapt it to a smaller portable dual 15 gallon & 30 gallon drum unit.
