The owners manual for my Kubota L2650 tells me that the hydraulic system in my tractor has a 7.5 gallon capacity. I recently drained the transmission / hydraulic fluid using the two drain plugs specified and I only saw about 1.5 gallon of fluid come out. However, before I drained the system, the site glass wasnt displaying any fluid. I wonder if I actually need to put 7.5 gallons of fluid back into the tractor? Since it has two fill points, does it matter where I put the oil? Appreciate any help!

my L2500 is similar and it has 2 oil drains on the pan for a total of about 6 qts.The gear trans/hydraulic system is about 28 with loader and there are 4 drains, one on the lowest point beside each wheel, one where the front drive shaft comes out and one under the loader frame and there should be oil in the sight glass. There is more oil visible with loader and 3pt hitch down.Better check book sounds like you drained engine careful.Better check engine dipstick.Good Luck
