I have an Iseki TX1500F that the manual says to use SAE 80W or 90 gear oil in the transmission gear case which is also the fluid for the hydraulic system.
Actually there were a lot of tractors that used gear lube in the hydraulic system... They worked OK for the time but as more things got added like loaders and other hydraulic systems a thinner fluid was required for the improved pumps with increased flow rates... KennyV
PS some 80-90 gear lubes are a little better than others as some foamed less than other brands in hydraulic use... (less foam is better)
I think that is the cheaper version of oil. You better off going with a better quality oil. It wont get as hot and smells better at the end of the day. Having a hydraulic oil that degrades faster then quality one will ruin the seals.
