I'm thinking about getting one to remove oil from small engines, gear boxes, etc. Have looked at the Atlas and Astro Pneumatic models. The Astro has an 8 gallon pressurized tank and looks well built. If you have one or used one I would appreciate any input.

Never used a venture style but have used a electric one for years to pump the oil out of boat motors though the dipstick. It works fine. Runs on 12 volts and cost about $75 new. I have also seen and watched folks use the type you pump up like a garden sprayer.

Not familiar with the ones mentioned.

We used a Mityvac one that looks like a pump sprayer. Available all over the place online or most auto parts stores.

Amazon.com: Fluid Evacuator - MTY7400: Automotive

Harbor freight has a pneumatic driven one that we looked at, but the hand one worked for us. On sale they get a lot cheaper, like everything else at HF. Item # was 46149
