Some suggest it is Conoco-Phillips. It is unclear to me. This much is known, MC oils are apparently formulations produced more by Ford engineers than by oil people. Ford is pretty fussy about it, it seems.

All MC oils seems to truly be products of the Ford Motor Company than merely being oils produced by someone upon which Ford slaps a label. Their R&D departments "own" their oils in the development and engineering sense.

When tested in real world UOA, MC oils seem to be exceptional. There is more reading on MC oil products over at Bob's the Oil Guy than you can shake a stick
at.
