MF 2605 Trans/Hydro oil to use

I recently purchased a new 2605 and at 5 hours it was about a quart low on oil. Looked at Rual King, Walmart, AutoZone, TSC and COOP; could not find a match for one of the oils listed in the operator manual. So went to MF and they sold me Permatran 821XL. I have 2 issues with the oil: 1. It cost 52.78 for a 2.5 gal container (which seems high to me) and 2. the manual calls for 15w40 for temps above 64F and the 10w30 is listed for the -4 - 81F. According to the specs I found on the 821xl, its a 10w30 oil and most of my use the temps will be above 64F.

It looks like TSC Traveller Universal Tractor Trans/Hydraulic fluid is an approved oil and their price is less than 1/2 the 821XL oil.

Curious what others use in their machines.

While under warranty id use the permatran. I have put the cheaper stuff in a new MF and it shut the entire system down. Had to drain and replace filter again with the mf and everything was ok then.
