Older IHI 35 s track hoe. Is there a method for getting all or most all milky hyd fluid out of system? Also are the additives effective approach? Would a add on bypass filter help ? Are there other options? I have changed the fluid several times but cylinders and system has fluid trapped. Hyd. system works fine just worried about damage from water. Thanks

I have had confirmed the answer I suspected all along.

Get the system up to operating temp, Shut down, drain fluid from holding tank, remove all accessible couplings, hoses, hard lines etc, flush system, re-connect fittings, fill w/ fluid, bring back to operating temp and run for short period of time, shut down for day taking sample of fluid, take another sample prior to start of workday, if sat operate for several days taking sample prior and post each day. When I am satisfied with the condition of the fluid go fix something else.

But fix the vent cap first.

might add in some transtune seafoam. will help soak the water up and make it easier to get rid of..
