Default Air in fuel system LS4940c Montana

Replaced fuel filter, tried to use manual pump on top of fuel filter to remove air,not working.Had to pull tractor with truck to start.Runs ok, not missing.Turn tractor off, will not start! It is like all fuel has returned to tank and replaced with air.Pulled tractor with truck to start again, ran for 30 min.to try to remove all air, ran fine, turned off will not start! Anyone know where fuel pump is located on this tractor?
