I scored bottle jack at the pile of scrap metal, all it needed was to top the oil up, haha.

Anyway, I did not have enough oil for it so I used Kubota UDT, likely overkill :D

What do you think?

I don't see why it shouldn't work. It is good non foaming fluid. Might be a bit pricey, but you don't need much of it.:)

heck.. I got a floor jack someone left at the DUMP.. said it would not make pressure. I put an oring in it from a multi kit and filled it with gear oil. that was 20 ys ago and it still works fine!

I think just about any sort of oil would work. Motor oil, PS fluid, shock oil etc. Bottle jack is a pretty low-tech thing.
