Amsoil 2-stroke oil is synthetic
100:1 pre-mix 2-cycle oil (7.75 per quart retail) $5.90 dealer 2-cycle injector oil (4.60 per quart retail) $3.50 dealer **Use the Series 2000. The stuff is great and the price is not to bad. No smoke and it runs clean. I posted the dealer price because a dealer should help you guys out. Friends don't let friend pay retail. Thanks Mike ![]() |

A good friend of mine buys Pennzoil 2-Cycle Synthetic {used to be Quaker State} by the gallon for about $14.00.{I think Wal-Mart sells it for about $17.xx /gal.} He goes through it like water... literally... mosting using it in Jetski's, but also gas blowers, chainsaws, weedwackers etc.
Just looking at major price differences for basically the same type of consumable product... |

John, I'm not sure whether there's a big price difference or not; depends on which synthetic 2-cycle oil you're talking about. Amsoil "Series 2000 Synthetic 2-Cycle Racing Oil, Injector or 50:1 Pre-Mis" is $31.85 retail, dealer cost $23.50 for a gallon, but their "Synthetic 2-Cycle Injector Oil" is $17.80 retail, dealer cost $13.60 for a gallon. And for reasons unknown to me, Amsoil "Synthetic 2-Cycle Oil, 100:1 Pre-Mix" only comes in 1.5 oz, 8 oz, 1 quart, 30 gallon, and 55 gallon sizes. So which type of Pennzoil is your friend using?

Hi Bird,
I'll try to get the exact "product #" today. He actually buys them by the case lots now...{either 4 or 6 to a case, and I believe even cheaper than the orig. $14./gal. I stated} It used to be labeled "Quaker State" and is a Full synthetic, not Blend. I just recently seen the gallon containers over at Wal-mart with Pennzoil label. {now that boating season is upon us here in the Northeast...} I will do a follow-up for you Bird... |

Bird,
I checked Wal-mart, it's <font color=blue>Pennzoil Marine Outboard 100% Synthetic 2 Cycle Oil</font color=blue>... now $19.77 gal {about 1 mo. ago $17.xx gal. Whatever happened to those "falling prices signs"?} in a Blue container. Andy had a death in the family and I won't see him for two weeks, but I believe his gallon containers were "white". |
