While waiting for a reply to my last post, I searched the John Deere site. The Hy-Gard oil is rated for Kubota use. If anyone thinks it is a bad choice, please post. Thanks

Jgd,

You asked if the low viscosity Hy gard was ok to use in your Kubota. The Kubota UDT fluid crosses over to the JD REGULAR viscosity J20C Hy Gard. I would question the use of the low viscosity if your tractor specs the regular UDT Kubota fluid.

I am reading this off the Kubota UDT bottle sitting in front of me.

Thank you for your post re: regular/ low vis JD fluid. After an exhaustive search of the John Deere site, I found that this low viscosity fluid meets the same spec as the regular stuff, JDM J21, so I think it's ok.
