My brother-in-law recently told me about a guy he does business with that runs an F-250 on 25% diesel / 75% KFC grease.
The guy is a mechanical engineer. He supposedly made a grease filtration system in his garage for about $500. He gets the grease free! That's cheap fuel. Why hasn't Exxon told us about this? |

Helped a friend and his daughter install one of the Greasecar kits in an old VW Jetta. You warm the engine up on diesel and switch to grease. Before shutting down, you throw a purge switch to clear the fuel lines and switch back to diesel.
You plumb the heater hoses to the trunk where the 2nd tank is located. Coolant is run through the tank (and around a second filter) and the fuel line is run inside on coolant line to heat things up. Would take some engineering to install on a tractor . |

This concept has been around for years. ( Greasel )
The reason for heating the oil is to get it to flow and burn easier. If some smart chemist out there would come up with an additive to add to straight vegetable oil to get it to flow at low temps, that would be the end of the oil (and ag income) problem. |
