Default Re: Oil Pan Heaters

I just bought one called Kat's Handi-heat, it's a 200 watt magnetic mount heater about 2" by 4". I just bought it yesterday for $20 at Auto Zone parts store.

After a couple hours on the heater I started the tractor it did heat up to operating temperature more quickly than usual. The temp gauge still started on cold but was quicker to heat up.

Next time we will try leaving it on overnight, and see how quickly the engine warms up after starting. After 2 hours today the bottom of the oil pan was pretty warm to the touch but the top of the engine block was not.
