Congrats on the new family members. They are beautiful.
We got our 1st horse in the late 70's while we still lived in town. Got up to 3 at one point. Our mare died at 22 a little over a year ago, & we do miss her. She could not be worked for her last few years, but we still enjoyed taking care of her & allowing her to decorate the pasture. However, gotta admit, it's nice not to have that responsibility anymore. She wanted her grub, regardless of our medical problems or our travel plans. And I miss her contribution to my compost pile. Have fun acquiring a herd - - it is rewarding.

LOL that is so true, I am glad I have the facility designed for horses. I did my time as a boy with water buckets to build character and responsibility or so dad said LOL. 22 is young to lose a mare did she have special issues with health. We have triple E in this area hear that always has me concerned for more than horses
