Washington State has no state income tax so they have to gouge us in other more fancifal ways. Thankfully we have the iniative process where by you write up an inative and get enough people to sign it who are registered voters and it goes on the balott for the next gen. election to be voted on.

I'm still not buying that. I bought a house for 89,000 in 1988 and the taxes are now $4000 a year. At the rate it is increasing, I'll be living under a rock in Alaska soon.

Andy the other point your data did NOT take into consideration is Vermont doesn't have USE tax on vehicles...just sales...which is nice when you acquire nice new vehicles:D
