TODAYS SEAT TIME

Spread 3 loads of gravel (almost finished before the heavens opened up and had to change tasks)

Did some ditching and damage control. We were hit with a ton of water in a very short amount of time and then continued raining for several hours. Large chunk of the neighborhood is still under water. Most of the flooding has gone bye bye. I knew the rains were coming but it hasn't been this bad in over 13 years. Did some road work yesterday in prep for the coming storm (gravel rd needed serious attention and a re-crown.)

All told I have a lousy 15 hours of seat time since yesterday and almost ten of those hours were in the rain.

Gotta build a canopy for this thing.

Will post some video in the next couple of days of the monsoon that hit us.

It was pretty lousy weather for the woods yesterday and the day before so I took the tractor to the shop and gave the little grapple I have some oral surgery. I adjusted it's bite and gave it some more teeth. I cut the bracket and moved it forward about 6" so it matches the shape of my round bucket better, added some length to the tines so they wrap around the logs rather than just pinching them against the bucket edges, and put some teeth on the bucket like I had on the grapple tines.
Using it today it seemed like an improvement. Before and after pics

Got a little seat time snowblowed my driveway and 3 neighbors. Then started work on my hydraulic chute rotation project. Got my motor in the mail and then went up to store got parts and hydo lines made and went home hooked up motor. Works great now on to metal fab but that will be for another day that is a little warmer.

Started digging the trench to my barn to run electric, have approximately150' done with about 150' still to go. Have worked about 6 hours so far but the beginning was very slow and had lots of hand digging to make sure I didn't hit the underground electric run to the house and the last 75' or so have been mostly hard shale so that is slowing me down big time. This is the first big project I've done with the backhoe attachment and I'm very happy with its performance. I trenched the electric t the house two years ago and rented a mini X, since I didn't have my Kubota then, and while the mini X was a little faster it was much less relaxing because I was trying to go as fast as possible to get done and get the machine returned, now I can take a break when I want and it is very relaxing. Anyway here's a couple pictures.

Disked 30 acres yesterday, then followed up by a clean-up of the tractor today.

Picture 1 : Cleaned up, not the cleanest, just a simple spray down and a bit of light scrubbing with some wash and wax, I wish it was this clean everyday.
Picture 2 : Front
Picture 3 : Other Side
Picture 4 : Same Side
Picture 5 : I lay a bead of grease onto my PTO shaft so its easy to put my PTO implements on so inside the shaft on the implement and my tractors shaft will be easy to slip on and off. Putting the grease around the shaft is better on the lock rim but it will drip a bit from the gravity.
Picture 6 : I also put some grease on my hitch balls on the tractor so it moves freely and nicely.
Picture 7 : Hitch is offset for easy access when greasing rear axle

Nice tractor Edward. We don't get to see many that size.

EdwardS--That is one sweet tractor.
What do you do with it and what are it's primary uses?
