I'm just getting caught up now that I have a little time again! I didn't see your post until now.

To respond though, if I could have gotten the tractor in the house (without creating a whole lot more work for myself) I would have tried!

I've actually used the bucket a fair amount this winter because of the snow, I'm gonna have to stop saying "I never use my bucket anymore"

Relaxing today. All I did was bring a bell buoy down to the house to show my wife how it is coming along. It has been a lot of sanding to get a shine on it. It washed up on the shore about a 1/2 mile from my home. It was painted grey and dented up pretty bad. It is solid brass and weighs over 200 lbs. I will be mounting it on logs to match some swings I put up for the grandchildren. I have a lake on my property and spend lots of time maintaining throughout the summer. Good stress reliever.

Broke through the 100 hour mark on the L4240 today giving the new extended tooth bar a workout. Next up - chipping and shredding.

I'm up to around 36-37 hours on mine now. this weekend was busy. designed and then redesigned the first of the mini-farm beds, then pretended to know how to use this middle buster plow, and finished sunday off by moving around 18 yards of soil. now I just need 40 or so more. it never ends

Got in about 2 hours on saturday chisel plowing my hayfield. With all the rain and snowconfused3 that we have had lately, I thought the fields would be too wet. I decided to go ahead and give it a try anyway. It actually wasn't too bad after all. There were a few soft spots. It rained on me for about 15 minutes when I first started, but I plowed on through and got it done!!

Just Dozing............

Spent some time "just dozing" over the lpast week starting to clear out/expand an old dam that cracked/failed a couple of years ago in the drought & has only now finally dried out enough to not bog a dozer.
This is on one of our "drier" climate farms - The plan is to grow from c.2.3acres/7' depth to around 5acres/average depth of c.14' & by using a slot dozing method & scraper towed with a large ag tractor we're hopeful of not needing to haul any other gear up there (& provided we don't have any urgent paid contracting work come our way for this dozer).
As usual when you start dam earthworks (& as can be seen on the last photo) the storm clouds gather......nothing surer to bring about more rain....
