TODAYS SEAT TIME

When I used to live on a gravel road in maine i would pull the gravel in from the edge first to save it and then pull it up towards the crown of the road. That's the way I saw a road grader do it. Except, I never used a blade--only an 8 ft rock rake (landscape rake) that kept smooting things as it went. As the weather progressed I kept rock raking in draft control and building a crown towards the road center. It worked perfect.

A rear blade for me proved too dificult for me because the grass growing in the gravel cause "bunching" and I was not able to get it smooth. The rock rake did a great job.

I mowed my lawn for the first time too and wouldn't ya know the new blades I put on last fall - 3 or them...well something is amiss..toward the end of my mowing I was leaving an uncut strip behind me about 3 or 4 inches wide right in the middle...of the cut..I hope it is just a blade...I will have to fix it before I mow again...

Always something...:)

Are you going to burn it? You could build one heck of a bonfire with that.

Yep, will burn it and two other piles when the wind conditions are right.

Here are two smaller ones from several years ago.
