TODAYS SEAT TIME

Today's seat time was a bit brief. I think I went 60-80 ft. Found a wet hole. I guess I'll let it rain on it some more.

Was able to get about an hour and a half on the Kubota mowing grass. The rain we have nene getting keeps it needing mowed all the time.

Finished tilling the garden this morning and removed the tiller and attached the
the brush hog. Drove the 6.8 miles to a friends stables, and cut her pastures
for her. Took about 3 - 4 hours. parked at the uphill stable and called the wife
to come pick me up. I will be doing some bucket work tomorrow for her and
could not see driving the tractor home.. All in all, a productive day....

I moved some Hybrid poplar wood for my neighbor and then moved a few small rocks :D to form some yard art over the stumps.

gathered and placed rocks to improve/rebuild a retaining wall.Retaining wall 1.jpg
...then backfilled and re-contoured, and backdragged the area: Retaining wall 2.jpg
and then "attempted" to backfill a low spot on the shore of our lake, promptly getting the trailer stuck beyond recovery: stuck trailer 1.jpg
for which I used my Dad to help unload: stuck trailer 2.jpg
After we both decided there must be a better way, we put our heads together and designed, built, and IMPLEMENTED our new dump trailer!: dump trailer.jpg

Before you tell us how dangerous we are, know that this was all done BEFORE our lunch and beer break! Seriously though, as you're reading this and laughing at the pictures of this father and son team of North Idaho idiots, i'm browsing elsewhere on these forums for dump trailer info and recommendations! This kind of crap can't continue...

In the country, where we don't have OSHA looking over our shoulder, we can get creative with our problem solving. If you have hooks on your bucket you could put a chain thru the hitch of your trailer and dump it even more safely.

thought about this Rick, but the hooks are in a box in the shop waiting to get welded on!

We'll probably buy the dump trailer, then use it to transport the bucket back to town to have the hooks welded on. This solves EVERYTHING, don't you think?

LOL
