Today's seat time:
There is about a hundred yards of woods between my house and my brother's. He came over today and told me his dog kept going to one part of the woods repeatedly. He went out there and found a dead deer. It appears that it died, froze and has been covered with snow until today. The snow is still about 6 inches deep there, but the carcass was thawed. It had been feasted on, and when warmed it was going to cause a stink, so I went out thru the snow, picked it up and transported it deep into the woods behind the house where we wouldn't be able to smell it and where the other critters could have a good meal.
I'm guessing the winter killed it. It was not much more than a yearling.
Not my best seat time.
