TODAYS SEAT TIME

Rob, you did better than I did yesterday. Felt really stupid hitting this tree cage, but it was in the deep shade, dark green, and I had
forgotten I put it there to take back to the barn.
Well, in a fashion, I did...

thankfully low strength wire and pretty easy to get off
blades needed sharpening anyway

Mowed a shooting lane to plink some 22s at some cans.

And worked some more on my new shooting range...

Nice, Luke... would be great if I had space enough to put in a range.

Thanks. In this new location I have about 150yd. Nothing behind for more than a mile in addition to shooting down into the hill. Better than my original location.

Just got back from neighbors place. Tilled a area that has a Wisteria growing up a power pole. The tiller won. But has a bunch of roots rapped around the tines. Nice project to clean up tomorrow.

I just got done tearing out a wisteria. I was amazed at the rubbery vine like roots and their strength. They tended to peel like string cheese rather than break. I was stabbing at them with a shovel and I thought I heard the plant laughing at me.

Was hoping to do some brush hogging today, but thought all I had to do was straighten a bent blade before I got started... no such luck. Hit a locust log last time I used it, and it hit hard. Blades are fine, stump jumper pan has been in rough shape for a while, but once I got the blades off, and the pan down, it was obvious the output shaft from the gearbox is bent. SOB... New gearbox is $122, pan is $89, shipped to my door for $256 total... guess I'm not brush hogging for a few days.

This is what tiller looked like before cleaning.
