TODAYS SEAT TIME

I've had my Caroni flail for a week now and really like the way it cuts. This field was full of blackberry bushes and weeds. It also had lots of fallen limbs and thorn trees. I got one brush pile burnt and have 4 or 5 more to go. The flail mower is nice to use because it is quiet and doesn't hang way off the back

Taking a mental health vacation away from the tractor trailer. Weather isn't good, global warming is in full effect with 55f and rain. Sooooo..... decided to finish mowing and then got tired of looking at a pine down in the back 40 that the borers have destroyed.

On go the forks and I spent a bit poking with them and snapped off the roots about 4' from the tree and 4' deep all the way around. Reached up and gave it a gentle nudge. Then, being in full vacation mode and not feeling like getting sap on my hands, I snapped off all the branches with the forks. Never climbed off Bigger Blue the entire process.

Ahhhh..... Vacation....

Thanks TripleR. That is the view off our back deck. Previously our property stopped at that burn area by the tractor. Now we own all the way down to where I stopped mowing. Its really nice to have it cleaned up.

Lazy day, just didn't feel that ambitious. Yeah, wx has been horrible. Yesterday at least was a bit warmer, I don't mind working (not sure that was work?) in the rain if it's a little hospitable.

Now I can't wait for it to dry enough for the bonfire! Muahahaha!

That is a killer view off your back deck.

It is always nice to get as much land around you as you can; wish we could have bought more when it was still affordable.

Cleaned out an overgrown ditch a week ago, then picked up and installed a 20' x 12" culvert so I could cross without getting in the mud (and the farmer renting our land could get across)... having a Kubota tractor to move the dirt to cover the culvert and build up the crossing was very nice.. chemical company came in Sunday afternoon and sprayed wheat fields for weeds, crossed new crossing without issues, very glad I got it done.

My wife really likes the Kubota, I use it for all sorts of things that took both of us to get done before..

Ok tonite when I got home the wife had ordered 14000 lbs of 0 to 6 inch rock and I already had on hand about 15000 lbs of 0 to 3/4, so time to make some more space for implements.:) as you can see I was getting a little cramped. When I finished, it was obvious I need at least another 14,000 lbs of 0 to 6 inch to even halfway level the low end of the newly "de-brushed and de-treed" area. Well maybe later. Also here are a couple of short low res videos of the work.
