I am really surprised that TSC didn't have grade two shear bolts. The store here in my area carries them, as do equipment companies.
The sole purpose is to protect your driveline and gear box from damage. You might get by with a grade 5 but I would NOT put a grade 8 in there. Grade eights are very hard and think about the fact that between the inner shaft and the outer shaft there is a relatively close fit so it takes a pretty good whack to break grade twos and even more for five and more. Think on these things.
