My neighbor was a shop teacher and collected all kinds of strange things. His daughter is cleaning out his stuff and gave me this along with a pneumatic and manual grease gun. Anyone one know what it it is?

The body is about 6" long and it has a swiveling coupling on the bottom.

Looks like an air grease gun or air gun. Can you post a pick of the end nozzle?
Booster gun...

The end "nozzle" appears to be missing something. It is just a female 1/8" pipe thread coupling. There is a lever that appears to regulate flow. Maybe this is for dispensing oil?

I appears to be a grease gun that was used to grease cars, tractors, large machinery . If I remember right, there was a 5 gal grease can and a pressurized top on it. The air was fed into the 5 gal bucket and as you squeezed the handle, grease was delivered.

Thanks, JJ, that makes sense. Now I just need to decide whether to toss it out or convince myself that I might use it someday.

JJ is right but the ones I used, the hose went to a 30gal. barrel that a grease pump moved the grease by a hose. Most were hooked to a overhead reel.

Here is a picture of a new unit. They haven't changed very much.

They make them to fit 120 lb drum. and a 25 to 50 lb bucket

Here is a picture of the oil unit, and the differential filler.
